Respawn Entertainment has just announced the end of their mobile game project, Titanfall: Frontline. The game was only announced last year and recently entered closed beta so this news has come as a surprise for some.
A statement on Facebook has marked the end of its development. According to the post, the game was unable to capture the Titanfall experience. Despite the positive response from the Beta Test, the team has decided to end the project as a result. The post also states that they want to build on the concepts in this game to bring Titanfall to mobile devices in the future.
The game is a card-based strategy game where players took the role of commander. Players were able to create their own team before going into battle against other players in turn-based combat.
The closed beta servers for Titanfall: Frontline will be going offline on January 20th. Despite this news, the future for a mobile game in the series seems to be quite positive.
