Nintendo has confirmed that their Mario mobile game will be coming for Android devices next week. The developer posted a tweet earlier this week with the confirmation.
Android owners will soon be able to download the game from the Google Play store. Anyone with an Android device can now pre-register for the game so that they will receive an update once the game has gone live. Nintendo hasn’t confirmed if there are any other additional bonuses for pre-registering.
The mobile game will be launching on March 23rd for Android users. Nintendo has also confirmed that the game will be launching with version 2.0 which will also be released for iOS users.
Version 2.0
Nintendo has confirmed some of the features that are included in the new update. However the developer hasn’t unveiled the patch notes for it yet. A message in the iOS app confirms a few new features that are coming to the game however, Nintendo is keeping most of it a secret for now.
- New characters
- Complete one of Bowser’s challenges to unlock World 1-4 in the free version of the game
The developer ended the message by stating “But that’s not all, of course” so fans of Super Mario Run should expect to see plenty more content coming to the game. Nintendo is yet to confirm the other new features that are coming to the game.
Nintendo has stated that more information will coming later. The developer is running out of time if they intend to release the new version in time for the Android release of Super Mario Run.
We will provide you with updates as Nintendo releases more details about the upcoming 2.0 update for the game. The patch notes for Version 2.0 should be released some time next week.
