The first planned Switch 2 network test session for FromSoftware’s The Duskbloods was cut short after server issues prevented players from logging in. The problems stopped participants at the point of entry, turning the scheduled test into a brief cycle of login attempts, error messages, and an early shutdown.
Polygon reports that players began trying to access the game at 6:00 a.m. EDT.
Login attempts hit a server error
Players affected by the issue received an error message stating that the game had “failed to log in to The Duskbloods game server.”
That left those encountering the problem unable to enter the test session. With the connection failure occurring during login, players could not move beyond the game’s initial server access process.
FromSoftware closes the test early
Nearly two hours after the network test began, FromSoftware confirmed through its official X account that the session had been closed early due to server issues.
The announcement formally ended the opening session before it could run for its planned duration. From the first login attempts through to the closure, the debut test was defined by the same central problem: participants could not connect to the game server.
