Destiny 2

Sony has announced an exciting new PlayStation Pro 4 bundle with the upcoming Destiny 2. The limited edition bundle will release alongside the game on September 6th with an MSRP of $449.99. It includes a 1TB Glacier White PS4 Pro, matching DualShock 4 Wireless Controller, and of course, Destiny 2. Also, every bundle comes with a voucher for access to the game’s Expansion Pass.

“To help you prepare for battle, all Destiny 2 players on PS4 will have access to bonus content before it is available anywhere else,” writes Sony. “You’ll find a competitive multiplayer map, a three person co-op Strike, a new ship, specialized gear set, and an exclusive exotic weapon.”

This reveal comes just a week before the launch of Destiny 2’s beta launch. Those who pre-order the game for PS4 can access the beta beginning July 18th at 10:00a.m. PT, while Xbox One pre-orders can join the following day. All other console owners can play the beta beginning July 21st, and it ends for everyone on July 23rd at 9:00p.m. PT. A Destiny 2 beta for PC will be coming sometime next month.

The PS4 Pro bundle is available for pre-order now at $449.99 USD/$549.99 CAN.

Sony’s announcement did not specify how long the bundle will be available, only that it is a Limited Edition one. If you’ve been waiting for the right bundle to get on the PS4 Pro train, this might be the one.

Keep in mind Destiny 2 is the first in the series to make the trek to PC with an uncapped frame rate and 4K resolution, while console versions will be locked in at 30 fps, even on PS4 Pro. Developers cited the Pro’s CPU as the reason for the limited frame rate. Food for thought.

The Limited Edition PS4 Pro Destiny 2 bundle launches on September 6th worldwide.

Mischa McGill

Mischa grew up with video games and still has a deep love for many - especially fun, colorful RPGs. Some of her favorites include Pokémon, Animal Crossing, Pikmin, Fantasy Life, Kingdom Hearts, Skyrim, Civilization V, and Stardew Valley. She loves nights in with her boyfriend cooking Mexican food, watching Studio Ghibli movies, and going head-to-head in their favorite games. Mischa might not beat you in Super Smash Bros, but she owns a replica of Arwen’s sword and Hermione’s wand, so... don’t rub it in too much.
