After several PS Store knock-offs tried to ride the genre’s wave, OPNeon Games’ real TCG Card Shop Simulator is finally headed to PS5 on September 15. Push Square reports that the viral PC shop-management game will bring its card-selling, collecting, and customer-facing gameplay to Sony’s console next month.
It is a familiar pattern: a PC hit catches fire, imitation games appear before the original reaches consoles, and players have to sort through the noise. This time, the official game arrives intact—opening a modest trading-card shop, keeping the shelves stocked, making money, and slowly turning a tiny retail counter into a bigger tabletop business.

A shop sim built around the pull of the next pack
TCG Card Shop Simulator centers on Tetramon, the game’s fictional monster-card phenomenon, which is heavily inspired by Pokémon. Customers enter the shop to buy booster packs, trade cards, and battle one another, while the player handles the less glamorous work that makes the whole operation run: earning cash, expanding the premises, and shaping the look of the store.
- Grow a small trading-card store into a wider tabletop and merchandise business.
- Customize the shop interior as the business expands.
- Serve customers buying packs, trading cards, and battling in-store.
- Build Tetramon decks and face CPU opponents in the game’s 1.0 version.
- Host competitive in-store matches through Tournament mode.
The deck-building and CPU battles are especially important because they push the premise beyond a familiar stocking-shelves tycoon loop. Instead of merely selling the fantasy of card collecting, the 1.0 release lets players sit down and participate in it. Tournament mode adds a layer of shop-owner role-play: your store becomes a place where the hobby actually happens, not just a register with booster boxes behind it.
The PS5 release gives players a clear answer
The timing matters because copycats thrive on confusion, particularly when a straightforward title and a popular premise make quick imitations easy to spot only after a purchase. For PS5 players who wanted the PC hit rather than a lookalike, September 15 provides a simple line in the sand: this is the version built by OPNeon Games, complete with the card-shop progression and new 1.0 play options reported by Push Square.
The game is available to wishlist on the PS Store, while pricing has not been announced. The real test will be whether its retail routine—buy, sell, expand, then crack open the next pack—feels as engaging from the couch as it does on PC.
