Preview footage shared by content creator Zeltik and reported by Nintendo Everything has revealed three distinct display-mode options for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake on Nintendo Switch 2: Standard, Pro, and Master. Alongside the visual interface choices, the footage confirms new control options including customizable ZL targeting and motion-control aiming.
The display options allow players to customize how much interface clutter appears on screen during Link’s adventure:
- Standard Mode: The default display designed for most players, providing full HUD information including health hearts, mini-map, action button prompts, and inventory gauges.
- Pro Mode: A streamlined interface that removes secondary clutter while retaining essential combat information for experienced players.
- Master Mode: An immersive display that removes the entire on-screen HUD, showing zero interface elements and leaving the view completely unobstructed.
Beyond HUD customization, the preview footage demonstrates substantial additions to how players control Link. Targeting enemies with the ZL button can now be toggled between traditional Hold (keeping the button depressed to maintain a lock) and Toggle (tapping once to lock on and tapping again to release). Motion-control aiming can also be toggled on or off, allowing players to fine-tune bow and slingshot shots with gyro movement on Nintendo Switch 2.
These control additions build upon modern gameplay enhancements previously confirmed by Nintendo on its official Nintendo UK product page, including a dedicated dash ability for covering open ground on foot, button-activated jumping across gaps, and subtitle support for newly voiced cutscenes.
Nintendo’s official product listing confirms that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake launches on November 5, 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2.
