IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios have confirmed that 007 First Light launches on Nintendo Switch 2 on March 18, 2027. Pre-orders are now open through the Nintendo Store, Amazon.com and selected retailers, alongside the release of a trailer specifically for the Switch 2 version.
That follows only a few seconds of Switch 2 footage shown during last month’s Nintendo Direct. IO Interactive says it will continue refining the version’s optimisation and performance in the months before launch, putting further technical work on the road to its March release.
For anyone catching up on Bond’s latest assignment, Nintendo Everything describes a young James Bond recruited into MI6’s training program after a heroic act. After a mission to stop a rogue agent ends in tragedy, Bond and his reluctant mentor, Greenway, investigate a conspiracy.
The Nintendo callback comes through the newly revealed GoldenEye Suit, a pre-order bonus referencing GoldenEye 007 on Nintendo 64. The confirmed entitlement is access to the suit at launch with the Switch 2 Deluxe Edition, which is available to pre-order at $69.99, €69.99 and £69.99 SRP.
The Deluxe Edition also includes four gadgets—the Gleaming Lighter, Gleaming Earphones, Gleaming Dart Gun and Gleaming Pen—plus the Day of the Dead, Desert Explorer, Silent Anchor and Gentleman Operator outfits. Those named extras give buyers a concrete list to compare rather than just a Deluxe label.
There is also a separate Nintendo Switch 2 Special Edition, available exclusively through Amazon.com, that includes the Classic Tuxedo. That retailer-specific outfit is distinct from the GoldenEye Suit access listed for the Deluxe Edition.
