Apex Legends has announced Blood Pact, an event that lets players pledge allegiance to the Beasts or the Demons in Wildcard mode, according to the game’s official announcement. The faction choice has a gameplay payoff: players earn their side’s Wild Cards by completing match challenges, including dealing enough damage or getting enough knocks.
Beast Wild Cards grant bonuses to melee movement speed, faster cell use and weapon switching, plus temporary critical hits after reloading. That combination looks geared toward keeping combat moving, with reloads becoming an opportunity for a short offensive boost rather than simply a pause to replenish ammunition. The critical-hit effect is temporary, making its timing the particularly interesting part of that faction’s toolkit.
Demon Wild Cards take a different approach, granting faster ability recharge, high-tier shields and a full shield recharge from a single cell. On paper, that puts more emphasis on ability availability and shield recovery than the Beasts’ movement and weapon-handling bonuses. The distinction makes allegiance more consequential than picking which monster theme looks better.
Kings Canyon also gets a haunted treatment, with fog that can randomly descend, obscure squad movement and cut down sightlines. That is the map change with the clearest tactical implications: reduced visibility could complicate reading an approaching squad or choosing an engagement at distance. The event also adds Rev Shell Grenades, haunted buildings, glowing Nessies, haunted Loot Bins and Pumpkin-skinned EVO orbs.
For the cosmetic side of the event, the Blood Pact Store includes new items for Sparrow, Alter and the R-99, alongside Beast and Demon Legend Retheme Bundles.
