Team Peak has announced that Peak launches on PlayStation 5 on October 22, with crossplay available from launch. The co-op climbing game will let PS5 players scale its mountain with up to three friends regardless of platform—a useful detail for groups whose next expedition depends on getting everyone together.
The PS5 version includes all content updates, biomes and new items added since Peak’s initial launch. That makes this more than the original release arriving on another platform: the additions made since then are part of the PS5 package, rather than something incoming players will need to wait for.
For newcomers, Peak casts players as lost nature scouts seeking rescue from a mysterious island. The way out is up: they must scale the mountain at its centre, either alone or in a group. That mountain contains four biomes with life-threatening obstacles, so the nature-scout premise comes with rather higher stakes than a leisurely hike.
Behind the climb are Aggro Crab and Landfall, collaborating under the Team Peak name. Peak was initially made during a one-month game jam in Seoul, South Korea, in February 2025; its upcoming PS5 arrival brings that collaboration to another platform with its accumulated updates included.
