Evercade Details New Banjo-Kazooie and Tooie Ports for Double-Pack

Evercade’s upcoming Banjo double-pack is more than a straightforward rerelease. As Insider Gaming reports, Blaze Entertainment developed new ports of Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie rather than emulating the original 64-bit versions.

Both games will arrive together on a single Evercade cartridge, complete with visual and performance improvements designed for these new releases.

Both adventures receive modern upgrades

Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie will each feature improved 3D resolution, high-resolution fonts, smoother frame rates, and full widescreen support.

Importantly, the complete list of upgrades applies to both titles. That means players can expect sharper environments, clearer text, more fluid performance, and a display format better suited to widescreen hardware throughout the double-pack.

Blaze Entertainment’s decision to build dedicated ports is the key detail. Instead of running the original releases through emulation, Evercade is getting newly developed versions with the same core suite of presentation enhancements across both adventures.

Evercade continues its Rare releases

The cartridge follows the Super Pocket Rare Edition handheld, which Evercade released earlier this year. Now, the upcoming double-pack puts Rare’s two Banjo games side by side while giving each one a technical refresh.

It is a focused package: two related games, one cartridge, and a consistent collection of upgrades spanning resolution, readability, performance, and screen format.

Which upgrade would make the biggest difference to your Banjo replay: widescreen support, smoother frame rates, sharper 3D visuals, or high-resolution fonts?

Lachlan's passion for gaming started when he played DOS games like Commander Keen and Wacky Races. His passion grew when he discovered his Aunt's Atari 2600 and was given a Game Boy for Christmas from his Pa. His favourite console has been the PlayStation 1. Right now he has become a little lazy with gaming but still enjoys the occasional FIFA session. He hopes to get back into playing games more regularly so he can switch off from the real world like he did as a Kid. He's excited about the introduction of VR and hopes for some great VR titles.
