Kojima Productions has released a teaser trailer and new details for Death Stranding Isolations, including confirmation that Tow Ubukata is credited with series composition and screenplay, according to Gematsu.
The animated series tells a completely new story set in the world of Death Stranding, separate from the video games. It follows a young man and woman who set out on an adventure in North America, immediately after Sam reconnects the continent through the Chiral Network. That setting gives the series a direct connection to Sam’s work while shifting the focus to a different pair of characters.
Originally announced in 2025, Death Stranding Isolations is scheduled to arrive exclusively on Disney+ and other Disney services in 2027. The teaser and Ubukata’s writing credit are the latest update on that previously announced series, rather than the announcement of a new game.
