Psycho-Sleuth’s official team has launched the Pathosync Awakening Project, a fan-creation event inviting participants to invent a character or put an existing cast member in a different situation. The game is already out, and the official Steam announcement sets out two creative prompts alongside rules on originality, mental-health representation and promotional use.
The original-character prompt asks participants to imagine someone joining the Logic Church’s Selection. That means coming up with both the character’s cognitive disorder and the resulting Pathosync ability — the connection between those elements is part of the brief, rather than simply designing a look.
The other prompt focuses on Psycho-Sleuth’s existing characters, with fan works depicting alternate outfits, poses, scenarios or stories. It leaves room for reinterpretation without requiring participants to build a new character around the Selection premise.
There is an important boundary around the subject matter: submissions that stigmatize or discriminate against people with real-world mental health conditions are prohibited. That rule is particularly relevant to a prompt explicitly asking creators to connect a fictional character’s cognitive disorder with an ability.
All submissions must also be original works; plagiarism and unauthorized use of others’ work are prohibited. Creators should note the submission terms before entering: submitting grants the official team permission to feature the work in promotional materials, with credit to its original creator.
