PS Plus subscribers can look forward to a fun and spooky October.

PS Plus October

The kind folks over at the official PlayStation Blog have revealed October’s free games for PS Plus subscribers, and things are looking great! On PS4 Resident Evil leads the pack. This is the modern remake, mind you, and it was very well received after launch. It currently boasts a score of 83 on Metacritic. Not that a Metacritic score should be interpreted as a guarantee of quality (or lack thereof); just pointing it out. A lot of people love this game, and it’s the perfect adventure for the Halloween season.

PS4 owners will also be getting Transformers Devastation. This gem from Platinum Games should not be overlooked by anyone. This is pure, cartoony action at its best. I wish that TMNT: Mutants in Manhattan would have turned out half as fun as Devastation. Imagine the old Saturday morning cartoon version of Transformers made into a nonstop, balls-to-the-wall action game, and you’ll have a good idea of what you’re in for here. Here’s the full line-up for next month:

  • Resident Evil (PS4)
  • Transformers: Devastation (PS4)
  • Mad Riders (PS3)
  • From Dust (PS3)
  • Code: Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~ (PS Vita)
  • Actual Sunlight (PS Vita)

It’s a great lineup, overall, even if Vita owners lack a compelling offering. What do you guys think?
