Prototype gameplay and leaked files have surfaced for Assassin’s Creed Destiny, a reportedly cancelled AAA project, according to MP1st’s reporting relayed by Push Square. The material points to a China-set Assassin’s Creed game, though the project’s existence and cancellation remain reported claims rather than independently confirmed details.
According to Push Square’s account, Destiny was set in China in 206 BCE, with TiMi Studio Group reportedly leading production. The project was allegedly cut after the studio underwent restructuring early last year. That sequence provides the reported circumstances of its cancellation, rather than establishing precisely why the game was dropped.
The most concrete glimpse comes from the prototype gameplay MP1st uncovered. Push Square describes a female assassin navigating a burning fortress on a rainy night—a specific scenario, rather than simply a name attached to the leak. Other files reportedly contain animations related to a male protagonist. Those two details raise an obvious character-selection question, but do not establish whether Destiny was intended to feature dual protagonists or a choice of player character.
The distinction from Assassin’s Creed Jade also matters when reading the report. Push Square identifies Jade as a free-to-play mobile release currently in development; the cancellation claim concerns the separately named, reportedly AAA Destiny project. Jade remains the in-development title in that comparison, while Destiny’s leaked material offers a glimpse of a project reportedly cut short.
