World of Warships is previewing Update 15.9 Round 1, with the work-in-progress update built around three additions: the Pacific Front strategic event, a Halloween-themed Event Pass, and stormy new scenery for the Ocean map.
Pacific Front is the headline feature. The strategic event will be playable both inside World of Warships and through a browser, giving players two ways to access it rather than tying participation exclusively to the game client.
That browser support is the most distinctive detail confirmed so far. It suggests Pacific Front will have a layer suited to interaction outside regular matches, although the preview does not yet specify how the event works or what rewards will be available. Its “strategic” label therefore carries more weight than detail at this stage.
Update 15.9 Round 1 will also introduce a new Event Pass containing Halloween treats to collect. The specific collectibles have not been identified, but the seasonal theme establishes a separate progression component alongside Pacific Front.
The Ocean map, meanwhile, will receive new stormy scenery. This is currently framed as a scenery change, so there is no confirmed indication that the storm will alter visibility, navigation, or other gameplay systems. Even as a visual adjustment, rougher weather should give the open-water map a more severe backdrop.
Because this is explicitly a work-in-progress preview, the announced lineup is clearer than its schedule: no release date or duration has been provided. The immediate picture for Update 15.9 Round 1 is nevertheless firm—Pacific Front will span the game and browser, Halloween collectibles are coming through the Event Pass, and Ocean is heading into stormier waters.
