Bethesda has added a new T-51 Power Armor speaker to their merch store in the lead-up to Fallout 76. The speaker is available for pre-order on sale at $175 which is a saving of 25 bottle caps.

The shape of the speaker is a replica of the T-51 Power Armor Helmet and stands at about 7.5″ tall. Not only is it Bluetooth compatible and can play your favourite tunes it can be controlled via hand motion!

The full list of features are as follows:

  • Standing about 7.5″ tall
  • Design based on the T-51 Power Armor Helmet
  • Gesture controlled
  • Sensor located on the front, base of the Power Armor
  • Wave your hand up and down in front of the sensor to control the volume
  • Wave your hand from side to side in front of the sensor to control which song you decide to enjoy in the wasteland
  • When paired with phone, the name will show ‘T-51 Speaker’
  • Bluetooth compatible
  • Micro USB port located on the back of the speaker
  • 3-Way switch on the back for on, off and gesture control
  • When gesture mode is enabled using the three way switch, the sensor is on, and motion detection is ready
  • User manual included with purchase

The replica speaker is cool and all, although for a whopping $175 it may not be worth it. Fallout 76 releases next month on November 14 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Lachlan's passion for gaming started when he played DOS games like Commander Keen and Wacky Races. His passion grew when he discovered his Aunt's Atari 2600 and was given a Game Boy for Christmas from his Pa. His favourite console has been the PlayStation 1. Right now he has become a little lazy with gaming but still enjoys the occasional FIFA session. He hopes to get back into playing games more regularly so he can switch off from the real world like he did as a Kid. He's excited about the introduction of VR and hopes for some great VR titles.
