Professional Ship Simulator is now available through Steam Early Access, ending the extended wait acknowledged in its official launch announcement.
The developer is positioning the simulator around technical depth, authentic ship behavior, and realistic maritime operations. That emphasis suggests a systems-minded approach rather than a simple sightseeing trip, although the announcement does not detail which individual mechanics or modes are included in the Early Access build.
Its stated vessel coverage is broad. The announcement presents large cargo ships, cruise liners, tugboats, fishing vessels, and rescue ships as part of the game. That range puts both large commercial vessels and smaller specialist craft under the Professional Ship Simulator banner, but further details about their implementation have not been provided.
The release follows what the developer describes as a long development journey involving countless hours of work. The announcement also recognizes that players have been waiting a long time for Professional Ship Simulator to reach this stage.
For prospective captains, the concrete change is that Professional Ship Simulator is now available in Steam Early Access. The announcement excerpt does not provide a price or detailed Early Access roadmap, so the immediate focus is the current release and its maritime-simulation ambitions.
For now, the verified change is straightforward: Professional Ship Simulator has reached Steam Early Access with its technical-depth and authentic-ship-behavior pitch intact.
