Did you know it will take 70 hours to beat?

PlayStation 4 owners can play Nioh’s final demo now until tomorrow, December 21st at 9:00 p.m. PST.

Team Ninja released two previous demos for it’s PS4-exclusive Nioh, but you’ll want to complete this one even if you played the other two. The Last Chance Trial offers the “expanded version” of what publisher Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja showed off at PlayStation Experience 2016.

In addition to it being the final demo before Nioh’s release on February 7th, it also offers some exclusive in-game content. Completing the main mission will unlock the Ogress Headgear for use in the full game. Also, completing the noticeably tougher Twilight Mission will get you both the Mark of the Conqueror and Mark of the Strong, the two rewards from last year’s alpha and beta.

In the words of Team Ninja, “Nioh is an intricate action RPG built around deep combat. Inspired by Japanese history and legendary samurai, Nioh will see you step into the shoes of our protagonist William as he faces off against other warriors and supernatural creatures in a grueling quest set in 16th century Japan.”

In an interview with Wccftech, Nioh’s director Fumihiko Yasuda revealed the game “will take on average around 70 hours” for a player to beat. Grinding for weapons and experience would push the hours up even higher. Like a lot of RPGs, it’s a long ass game.

The Last Chance Trial is available for download from the PlayStation Store. It’s playable for less than 24 hours, starting at 12 a.m. PST/ 3 a.m. EST on January 21st, and lasting until 9 p.m. PST/ 12 a.m. EST on January 22nd.

Nioh’s full game launches February 7th on PS4.

Mischa McGill

Mischa grew up with video games and still has a deep love for many - especially fun, colorful RPGs. Some of her favorites include Pokémon, Animal Crossing, Pikmin, Fantasy Life, Kingdom Hearts, Skyrim, Civilization V, and Stardew Valley. She loves nights in with her boyfriend cooking Mexican food, watching Studio Ghibli movies, and going head-to-head in their favorite games. Mischa might not beat you in Super Smash Bros, but she owns a replica of Arwen’s sword and Hermione’s wand, so... don’t rub it in too much.
