Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Halloween celebrations have begun. The Season of Scares update is now available across all platforms, bringing Oogie Boogie from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas into the Valley alongside new events and decorating tools.
Oogie Boogie’s arrival is tied to a new storyline rather than simply adding the character to the game. Players can begin by investigating a mysterious mirror inside Scrooge’s Store, giving the familiar location a suitably suspicious seasonal twist.
Stepping through that mirror leads to a strange new version of Scrooge’s shop. From there, players can participate in Oogie Boogie’s games and work to uncover whatever he has planned for the Valley. The official announcement keeps his ultimate scheme concealed, but makes clear that he is bringing his usual brand of tricks with him.
That mirror setup is the most interesting part of the update’s premise. Transforming an established shop into the gateway for Oogie Boogie’s activities creates a focused mystery for players to pursue, while his games give the storyline something more interactive than a straightforward character introduction.
Season of Scares also expands the game’s customization side with new decorating tools. Those additions fit naturally with the Halloween theme, giving players more ways to alter their spaces while progressing through the Oogie Boogie content.
New events round out the update, although the announcement excerpt does not provide their complete lineup. With the update already live on every platform, players can head directly to Scrooge’s Store, inspect the mirror, and see what Oogie Boogie has been plotting.
