Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game’s Avatar State Patch is now available on Xbox Series X|S, bringing redesigned menus and match interfaces, reworked versions of Avatar Aang and Nightmare Korra, and new ways to play and practise.
The official announcement details a presentation overhaul covering the menus, character-select screen, stage-select screen and in-match interface. The changes reach beyond the front end, with balance adjustments touching every playable character, from Aang to Zaheer, aimed at fairer and more exciting matches.
Avatar Aang and Nightmare Korra receive the most substantial individual revisions: both have new art, attacks and super moves. Avatar Aang’s new Level 4 super includes Avatar Roku, while Nightmare Korra’s updated design puts chains on both wrists rather than one. These are character reworks, not simply a change of menu artwork.
The additions also extend to solo play and practice. Story Mode+, Story difficulty settings, new tutorials and Combo Trials join the game, while Story stages become available in Versus. Taken together, the tutorials and trials make the update relevant to players learning the combat system, not just those returning to check their character’s balance changes.
The game launched earlier this year with 12 characters drawn from Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra, and its current playable roster remains at 12. Its existing modes include Offline and Online Versus, Story, Arcade, Training, Spectator and Art Gallery.
For anyone considering jumping in, Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is listed on Xbox at $29.99+. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the full game and a Year 1 Pass, which adds Iroh, Ty Lee, Lin Beifong, Bolin and the winner of the Year 1 Character Vote over the season.
