Developer Rebellion has just announced a brand new game: Strange Brigade.

It features 1 – 4 player co-op gameplay where players must work together to survive the different threats. Players take control of different members of a team who have been sent to different remote areas around the world. This team is the “Strange Brigade” who are expert expeditioners. However, details on how this system works is currently very limited and Rebellion will be showing more of the game at E3 next week.

The trailer itself is lighthearted and slightly comedic where it plays like a B-movie trailer. As a result, we can assume that the game itself will be in the same vein as this. However, we don’t know for certain. It features several different types of enemies such as mummies and a giant Anubis statue. The game should also feature several different locations so hopefully Rebellion will announce some of these at E3.

What we do know however is that the game is set in the 1930’s and follows the story of a group of explorers from the British Empire. The main focus of the game is not ‘zombie’ but enemies will have a supernatural origin. The trailer confirms this but doesn’t go into much detail on this matter. Most of the trailer does seem to predominately feature undead however so it looks like they will be the main enemy in the game. Hopefully Rebellion will clear this up during E3 so that players get a better picture of the game.

Strange Brigade will be releasing for PS4, Xbox One and PC. A release date is not available at this time but hopefully Rebellion will be able to fix this soon.

We’ll be covering the entirety of E3 2017 starting from Sunday so be sure you check back in with us for the latest details.
