Another live stream is coming this month.
The last few months have been good for games we thought we’d never play. The Last Guardian and Final Fantasy XV both released at long last, and now Team Ninja’s Nioh is officially set to carry on that trend.
According to the game’s Twitter, Nioh has gone gold. That means it is completely finished and ready for production.
“We want to thank our fans for their loyalty waiting for the game to be finished,” the tweet said.
You can breathe easy knowing Nioh will hit its release date after a decade of development. The PlayStation 4 exclusive will launch on February 7th in North America, February 8th in Europe, and February 9th in Japan.
If you’re looking for more details before committing to a purchase, check out the Nioh live stream on January 20th. It goes up at 10:00 PM JST, 8:00 AM EST. Known game elements will be reviewed, and new information will also be revealed . You can watch it on YouTube, Fresh! by AbemaTV, and Niconico.
Nioh is about a man named William Adams who travels to Japan to become a samurai.
“Players will discover a deep and enticing world that blends history and Japanese folklore,” Team Ninja has said about the game. “The tough gameplay pits players against daunting and overpowering creatures, and encourages them to learn their enemies’ tactics to gain the advantage in battle.
“[William Adams] will be accompanied by a diverse cast of characters who will aid him on his travels across Japan. Hanzo Hattori, the head of a famous ninja clan, is William’s guide through the country. Ginchiyo Tachibana (wife of Muneshige, the head of the Tachibana clan) will also help William on his quest with her skilled fighting abilities.”
