2K Foundations and Gearbox will match every dollar donated to The Hunt up to last year’s record amount, backing the Borderlands community’s fundraising for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Players will participate in The Hunt starting November 6.
The official community announcement says the planned match could help raise more than $230,000 for St. Jude. That is a potential fundraising total, rather than money already raised. Earlier this year, The Hunt generated a record-breaking $118,995.80 for the hospital.
The message also confirms that the Borderlands franchise has crossed 100 million units sold and that Borderlands 4’s Year 1 roadmap is complete. During its first year of post-launch content, the game received two Story Packs and five Bounty Packs.
Completing that roadmap doesn’t mean development is wrapping up: the team is working on more Borderlands 4 content for next year. Weekly Activity refreshes and Community Challenges will also continue.
