Microsoft’s E3 2021 presentation has come and gone, and although most of the games shown had been announced previously, there were still some absolute bangers. One of the biggest surprises of the show was the announcement of Forza Horizon 5, the newest entry in Playground Games’ massive open-world racing game. After the superb quality of Forza Horizon 4, we’re more than excited to jump into this chaotic and colorful experience. With online multiplayer, a map editor, and plenty of cool cars to drive, we can’t wait to try out Forza Horizon 5 when it releases on November 9, 2021. Better yet, Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be able to enjoy the game on day one, as is expected with all Microsoft exclusives.

Forza Horizon 5 Jumps to Mexico

The Forza Horizon series has always taken players to exotic locales and Forza Horizon 5 is no different. This holiday, the franchise makes the leap to the vast expanse of Mexico, packed with environmental variety. You’ll speed through lush jungles, skid over the top of volcanoes, and participate in explosive races across sandy dunes. As always, Forza Horizon 5 looks absolutely beautiful, with near photo-realistic visuals that dazzle. You’ll be able to enjoy the hectic racing online with your amigos in a continuous multiplayer play-space, designed to get your heart pounding.

Forza Horizon 5 Gameplay

We’re especially excited for the game’s custom map creator, which will allow players to design their own races, events, and mini-games. Generally speaking, the Forza Horizon franchise is always at its best when it’s being wacky. We have no doubt that the community will create some truly spectacular and quirky gameplay experiences via this fun map creator. We hope the Bucket List makes some sort of return, but even if it’s absent, we’re still confident Forza Horizon 5 will be one of the best games of 2021.
