Splatfest

The latest NA Splatfest for Splatoon 2 has concluded, and the results are in! Team Vampire and Team Werewolf duked it out in Turf War after Turf War for the 24-hour Splatfest event, and one side came out victorious.

Splatfest

As you can see in the image above, Team Vampire won in a clean sweep against Team Werewolf. Vampires took the popular vote, the most solo wins, and the most team wins. All you champions can now collect your hard-earned Super Sea Snails in game; keep in mind the amount you receive is based on what rank you ended on in this Splatfest. The game will also take back your Splatfest t-shirt the next time you open it up on your Switch.

This Halloween-themed Splatfest asked players to choose between two monsters: vampires and werewolves. The Splatoon 2 online event lasted for exactly one day before Pearl and Marina exited the stage and jumped back into the studio to announce the winners.

Past Splatfests have provided only the most serious of competitions, pitting players against each other over topics like mayo vs. ketchup, toilet paper direction, and super power preferences.

These events take place every month in Splatoon 2, and we don’t know the theme for the next one just yet. The team choices tend to vary by region and don’t all get announced at once. For example, October’s Splatfest in Europe was based on which way you hang your toilet paper — with the end of the roll facing forwards or backwards. We’ll let you know as soon as Nintendo announces the next theme(s).

Splatoon 2 is available now for Nintendo Switch.

Mischa McGill

Mischa grew up with video games and still has a deep love for many - especially fun, colorful RPGs. Some of her favorites include Pokémon, Animal Crossing, Pikmin, Fantasy Life, Kingdom Hearts, Skyrim, Civilization V, and Stardew Valley. She loves nights in with her boyfriend cooking Mexican food, watching Studio Ghibli movies, and going head-to-head in their favorite games. Mischa might not beat you in Super Smash Bros, but she owns a replica of Arwen’s sword and Hermione’s wand, so... don’t rub it in too much.
