The PSN sales keep coming as the latest titles to hit the Totally Digital sale have arrived. Top indie titles like INSIDE and The Witness lead the charge with plenty others worth checking out.

INSIDE $12 from $20

My indie GOTY for 2016 and in the running for overall selection as well.

Yes it has creepy visuals and a creepier abstract story, but I wasn’t expecting world class platforming puzzles played out as cinematically fluid as Uncharted!

Playdead evolved far beyond the simplistic silouhettes of Limbo and presented visuals with a terrifying amount of depth and detail. You could spend hours more gazing at each area, they are true works of art

If the full price and short play time scared you off, now’s the time to experience a masterpiece.

The Witness $20 from $40

Difficult puzzles are not my thing, but if you enjoy twisting your brain and somehow missed this, don’t miss it again.

The Witness is full of surprises that make it hard to explain why so many gamers fell hard for it.

The risk of buying has been diminished by 50%, a worthy gamble.

Salt and Sanctuary $11 from $18

A 2D Adaptation of the Dark Souls formula with a few wrinkles of its own. I enjoyed the addition of platforming and the zoomed out 2D gives a better look at the battlefield.

If the absence of Bloodborne 2 has you hungry for a new Souls adventure, this is a cheap way to fill that hole.

Darkest Dungeon $12.50 from $25

Dripping with atmosphere and stuffed with masterful strategy. Darkest Dungeon is a wonderful crawl that has you worrying about your team’s sanity as they delve deeper for loot.

SOMA $9 from $30

This classic is seen frequently on sales. The monsters can be the worst part of the game but the story is worth checking out. A great pc mod enables gamers to ignore the murderous atrocities but alas, Sony won’t be allowing that anytime soon.

Cosmic Star Heroine $9 from $15

Don’t know a thing about this one but it comes highly recommended from several NEOGaffers.

Dear Esther: Landmark Edition $4 from $10

Now you can play this game for less than the fancy coffee you could buy while discussing its deeper meaning with the coolest of the cool.

Samurai Showdown VI $5 from $15

Haven’t played one since the Genesis but for $5 I could snag it for local head to head with that one friend.

Guacamelee $5 from $15

If you’d rather be cooperative instead of competitive with that other friend, this is an excellent choice. Metroidvania meets humorous melee.

Are you planning on snagging any?

Mathew Falvai

Mathew is a huge fan of Space, Strategy, and Shadowrun (Genesis version is #1). When it comes to games and films, he’d much rather experience a 10/10 classic from yesteryear than a 6/10 modern blandfest. He does feel we’re living in a gaming golden age with the power of indie developers at an all-time high, but wishes AAA publishers would take more risks. Mat believes it’s only a matter of time before the pendulum swings the other way and new ideas take their rightful place above reboots.
