This weekend is looking to be a great time for gamers with a range of games being free to play.

Xbox Live and Minecraft

Minecraft is free to play with weekend only on Xbox One. In addition to this, players who don’t have an Xbox Live subscription will be able to play multiplayer with their friends this weekend also. This is applicable to both the Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions of the game.

As a huge bonus, the Xbox Live service is currently free to all players this weekend regardless of game.

There’s only a small window to play online for Xbox games however. Xbox Live and Minecraft will be returning to their usual payment methods tomorrow at 11:59 PM PT.

Mount & Blade

This game has been available for almost a full decade now but GOG is giving away free copies of the game regardless. All you need to do is visit the GOG store page here and select “Get it here” to grab a free version of the game. Once you own it, you can play it any time you feel like it.

This is perfect for gamers who have never tried the game before or those looking for a DRM free copy of it.

Hearthstone Card

Blizzard is also offering a free card for today only. Anyone who logs into the game today will be given a free card without needing to play any matches.

The free card is “Fight Promoter” a six mana card which is 4/4 with a Battlecry. The Battlecry causes you to draw two cards if you currently control a minion with more than six health.

Shadow Warrior 2

In addition to all this, Shadow Warrior 2 has just been released on console. The game is currently on sale and anyone who grabs a copy now will also get a free copy of the first game. This deal will be lasting until June 2nd giving players plenty of time to make the most of this new deal.
