BlackBeak Games plans to make further Steam Deck tweaks to Cash is King!, which usually runs at 30 FPS on the handheld rather than 60 FPS or more. The game is available now, but Valve has not yet issued its official Steam Deck compatibility assessment.
In its Steam Deck update, the developer says it has regularly played the game on the device since the first demo, testing whether it is fun in handheld form. Its assessment is positive beyond the frame rate: the controls feel good, and the user interface remains readable despite the smaller display.
That makes this a developer-reported account of handheld play, rather than a Valve compatibility verdict. For prospective Deck players, the useful distinction is between the reported 30 FPS performance and the separate questions of comfortable controls and legible menus — areas BlackBeak says are already working well.
Over the next few days, BlackBeak will collect Steam Deck feedback and investigate any remaining problems, with further adjustments planned to improve the handheld experience.
