Age of Wonders 4’s upcoming The Silver Seas expansion is set to include the Tome of Hydromancy, an option built around controlling enemies rather than simply piling on damage. Luis, a senior designer on the Triumph Studios team, outlined the tome’s emphasis on pushing and immobilizing foes.
The interesting detail is its focus on battlefield disruption. Pushing enemies changes their positioning, while immobilizing them restricts movement, pointing toward a control-first approach that values denying opponents freedom of movement alongside direct offense. Specific spells and numerical effects have not yet been detailed, but the Tome of Hydromancy is planned as part of The Silver Seas expansion pack.
