Tomorrow is a big day for Xbox. It’s the day that the Xbox One X pre-orders go live. Now, this may not be a big as the actual release day but tomorrow will start to provide predictions on how popular the new Xbox One console is going to be with consumers.
The GAME UK Twitter channel posted an update stating that pre-orders open tomorrow at 8am BST. In addition to this, someone on Reddit claims that they’ve been told that Xbox One X pre-orders will be starting tomorrow at Gamestop in North America. According to this post, there are no special allocations per store so consumers can pre-order as many consoles as they like. We don’t know if this is true yet so we’ll have to wait and see.
We saw the reveal of the Project Scorpio edition at Gamescom. When pre-orders for this edition began, Microsoft was sold out within 12 hours. Clearly then there’s a high demand for the Xbox One X so it’s unclear if or when the first batch of consoles will run out tomorrow.
The Xbox One X is the most powerful console ever created. Here are the specifications for it:
CPU: Eight-core 2.3GHz processor
GPU: 40 compute units at 1172MHz
RAM: 12GB GDDR5
Storage: 1TB hard disk
The console will support 4K gaming in addition to 4K resolution for TV shows and movies. It also has a 4K UHD Blu-ray disc player to match. While we know the Xbox One X is powerful enough to support VR, we don’t currently know if any headsets work with the console. Hopefully, Microsoft will be making an announcement later this year about the VR capacity of the console.
Xbox One X will be officially launching on November 7th worldwide.
