Failbetter Games announced a Kickstarter campaign yesterday for a sequel to their incredibly successful game, Sunless Sea.
The new game is called “Sunless Skies” and is set in space. London has been moved into space and players will be controlling their own spaceship. The aim of the game is similar to Sunless Sea where the player is looking to make a name for themselves.
The Kickstarter campaign page hints at what’s to come. Players will be able to “Speak to Storms. Murder a Sun. Face Judgement” in addition to the classic real time combat from the first game.
While the campaign was only launched yesterday, Sunless Skies was totally funded within four hours of being active. The campaign still has 29 days left and the developer hasn’t revealed any stretch goals yet. Failbetter Games did note on the Kickstarter campaign game that they would reveal more news about stretch goals later into the campaign.
The developers were originally only looking for £100,000 and have now raised over £150,000 for the new game.
