Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 is in Open Beta this weekend

  • February 5, 2017
  • Clare Lunawolf

CI Games have just released Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 into Open Beta.

The Open Beta trailer details everything that players will get to explore in this test. In a blog post on the official website, the team state that there are two missions in the Open Beta.

Players will be able to complete “Cut Off” and “Blockout”. Cut Off has the player infiltrate a compound to gain access to enemy satellite signals while Blockout sends the player on a mission to kill a war criminal.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 is only in a short beta however which ends on February 5th. CI Games is no longer taking registration to the beta but everyone who signed up previously should have access to the test.

The game will be released later this year on April 4th. It will be released for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and for Windows PC. A Season Pass was previously announced by the developer and it contains two major story expansions.

I’ve signed up, I did play the open beta and afterwards I pre-ordered the game. I would have never thought that the game would be so good. Sure there are some minor issues but they’ll surely fix it before the release

I think that the main problem of the game is optimization. But other than that I liked the open beta tests a lot. what are the minor issues you mention about the game?

Well I think that the vehicles could drive a bit better and maybe they could work on climbing animation. It looked a bit odd to me…

I didn’t see any problems with the vehicles but now that you mention the climbing animation I have to agree. It did look a bit weird

And how about AI ? I played only 2nd part and there was terrible AI. I didn’t play in beta, so this information is most interesting for me. Hope that only optimization issues are to improving.

AI was awesome! Bots were much smarter than I thought they would on medium difficulty. Honestly if you play SGW 3 you will get a felling that it’s a completely different game! I couldn’t believe that it’s the same studio that made SGW 2. To sum up I don’t think that you have anything to worry about 🙂

I was very happy with the difficulty level in SGW 3 beta. It was set to medium, but all the enemies were very smart and I was forced to think instead of just act

Oh yeah SGW 3 is not like BF or COD, where you can just take your AK and shoot every single enemy on the map 🙂 The drone turned out to be very useful while planing your moves

without good recon and plan, you’ll be dead after few moments, and it’s good because even in title is clearly said SNIPER, GHOST, and if it all fails, then Warrior 😉

Well said! And it’s true. AI is quite impressive, enemies are smart, and missions are set to recon.

If it wasn’t for the drone I wouldn’t be able to stay alive man! I like BF and CoD but it’s nice to play a more demanding game for a change!

I think that it’s awesome that from time too time you’ll see a more demanding game on the market!

I’m very happy that Beta was even better than I thought. The game will be one of the bestof this kind, I have no doubts. Lt’s hope they won’t screw it up.

My thoughts exactly. I wasn’t expected SGW3 would be any good, but it seems to be one of the best games in 2017. Let’s hope they won’t screw anything up.

Open beta was something that was missing on market. Many big players decides not to release demos and beta. But after big “halo” about SGW3 i saw many betas or time demos, that could bring new players to the game. I hope, that more and more developers will release open/closed betas, demos.

I’m 100% sure that it will be the best part of SGW series, due to open world and fantastic graphics. And yeah, open world is really amazing
