CI Games has announced that Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 has been delayed. This news comes in the wake of the open beta that took place last month.
The developer posted an update on their blog earlier today which confirms that the game will be delayed. The team have decided to delay Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 for three more weeks while the team makes some final changes based on feedback from the open beta. While this is bad news for eager fans, this is good news for those who want to see this game succeed.
CI Games posted this statement on their blog: “While it’s an unfortunate decision to delay the game one last time, we believe these final changes will result in a better experience for players worldwide on day one. Thank you for your patience – we know the wait will be worth it.” The statement comes from Marek Tyminski, the CEO of CI Games.
The CEO added that the team has “worked tirelessly” on creating a “new Sniper: Ghost Warrior experience”.
Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 will now be released on April 25th next month. This is a three week delay from the original April 4th release date that the team was aiming for.
This short delay should allow CI Games to complete further work on the game. The final changes to the game should better optimize it and fix all errors found in the Open Beta. The developer didn’t give any examples of what they’re planning to change for the final release. This is the second time that the game has been delayed. This new delay should be the final one and CI Games will release the game next month.
Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC next month. The game will be released on April 25th for both consoles and PC.
