Rockstar Games has addressed leaked Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay and says an extended look at the game is coming the following day.
According to TechPowerUp, Rockstar said GTA VI videos leaked over the past week, describing the incident as “heartbreaking” for the team and not how it wanted people to see the game. The studio thanked players for their messages of support and apologized for the time taken to finish GTA VI, share further details and official gameplay, and keep the community informed.
Rockstar said the game is nearly finished. It also warned that spoilers from the leaked material could affect the intended experience, asking players to wait and experience GTA VI themselves on November 19.
The precise contents and length of the promised extended look have not been disclosed, and the reporting does not establish that it will contain official gameplay footage.
Important details about the leak also remain unclear. The footage has not been independently authenticated, while its scope, source, duration and publisher are unknown. It is also unclear how the material was obtained.
The response follows earlier legal efforts connected to the anonymous leaker known as Cyberleek. TechPowerUp previously reported that Take-Two—Rockstar’s parent company and GTA VI’s publisher—issued subpoenas to Microsoft and Discord seeking to identify the person behind that name. Cyberleek’s identity and the outcome of those subpoenas remain unknown.
