Report: Resume References Injustice 3 Motion Capture, Supergirl and Batwoman

Another resume has reportedly named Injustice 3—this time in connection with motion-capture work and two DC characters. According to Kotaku, MP1st reported on September 21 that it had seen a stunt worker’s resume directly referencing motion-capture sessions for a game called Injustice 3.

The same resume listed Supergirl and Batwoman as character names, Kotaku reports. That wording does not establish that either character is playable, explain the extent of their roles, or guarantee their inclusion in any finished game. The material’s authenticity has also not been independently verified, and the reporting does not explain how it was obtained.

There is at least some reported professional context behind the document. Per Kotaku, MP1st said the stunt worker had previously collaborated with NetherRealm and worked on earlier projects from the studio. Even so, neither Warner Bros. nor NetherRealm Studios has officially confirmed or announced Injustice 3.

This is not the first alleged development breadcrumb. Kotaku says MP1st previously spotted the Injustice 3 name on an artist’s resume, while a California video-game playtest held last week was believed to be associated with the unannounced fighter. The new reference is more specific because it connects the title to motion-capture sessions and named characters, but it remains part of an unverified trail rather than an announcement.

Supergirl would be a familiar presence: Kotaku notes that she was a major character in 2017’s Injustice 2. Batwoman is the more intriguing name. She died in the Injustice comics, which Kotaku describes as canon to—and directly referenced by—the games, creating an obvious story question without supplying an answer.

Taken together, the reported resumes and playtest suggest that something bearing the Injustice 3 name may be moving through production. For now, however, the concrete update is narrowly defined: MP1st says a stunt worker’s resume referenced motion capture for Injustice 3 and named Supergirl and Batwoman.
