Raiders of the Broken Planet officially has a date for its first Closed Beta test. The first Closed Beta test will be arriving this week on May 13th. However, there is currently no details about how long this test will be for.

The game is described as an “asymmetric 4 divided by 1” game. It’s a tactical shooter that places emphasis on close-quarters combat and gameplay.

Developer MercurySteam has released a press release to go with the Closed Beta announcement. Players can either join the Raiders for cooperative play or fight against them. Fighting against the squad of four, the player will be supported by an army of AI.

While multiplayer plays a large role in the game, there is also a single player mode. Raiders of the Broken Planet will be launching with a single campaign called the Alien Myths. This will be followed up by three other campaigns later this year called: Wardog Fury, Hades Betrayal and Council Apocalypse. These four campaigns form the 2017 season of campaigns for the game.

Each of these campaigns tells a different story. However, details on these stories are currently very limited. Hopefully developer MercurySteam will announce more details at a later date.

These campaigns will feature a range of new missions for players to complete. In addition to this, they will contain new characters, gear and content for players to explore.

The Closed Beta for Raiders of the Broken Planet is currently taking sign-ups. Anyone interested in testing this game can sign-up on the official website here.

We will be sure to keep you updated on Raiders of the Broken Planet throughout the year. The game will be launching for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. However, there is currently no release date or release period for the game. Hopefully the developer will announce this soon.
