Obsidian Entertainment has finally revealed the sequel to their critically successful RPG, Pillars of Eternity.

Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire has now been confirmed by the developer.  The first game in the series was created with the help of a successful Kickstarter and the team have returned to crowdfunding once again.

The new game is being funded through Fig where people can choose to invest in the game. At time of writing, it’s almost reached the target of 1.1 million already and there are still just over 28 days left to reach the target amount.

Pillars of Eternity 2 marks the return of Eothas who breaks free and leaves the player for dead. It sends the player on a new journey to find the gold and demand answers that could disrupt the world. The search for answers sends the player to the Deadfire Archipelago. The new location is found at the far east of the world.

There is no release date for the game just yet but the crowdfunding campaign is due to end on February 24th.
