The second season of Minecraft’s Story Mode collaboration with TellTale Games is rolling along into Episode 2. A trailer for the upcoming episode has been released, and you can check it out right here.
The second episode of five is available to download August 15th, and the Season Pass physical disc will be in stores this September 19th for PS4, XB1, and 360. The entire Season 2 can be also be bought digitally, for $29.99 ($27.99 CAD on Steam right now)
The episode is called Giant Consequences, which I assume has to do with the giant smashing everything in sight in the trailer.
A great feature in Season Two for streamers is the ‘Crowd Play’ option. Up to 2,000 viewers can vote on decisions when using Twitch and other streaming platforms. A genius idea that should get a ton of use.
Here’s the spiel from Mojang’s PR team:
“Now that Jesse and the gang have vanquished the Wither Storm, saved the world, and become totally super famous heroes, life has gotten a bit more…complicated. With more responsibilities and less time for adventure, old friendships have started to fade — at least until Jesse’s hand gets stuck in a creepy gauntlet that belongs to an ancient underwater temple. Together with old pals and new comrades alike, Jesse embarks on a brand new journey filled with tough choices, good times, and at least one temperamental llama.”
If you haven’t played Season 1 of Minecraft: Story Mode you can get it on just about any platform: Android, iOS, Apple TV, Windows, Switch, macOS, PS3, PS4, Wii U, 360, and even the Xbox One if you can believe it. Although the Second Season has just five episodes, the First is a much lengthier eight episodes long.
