The developers behind LawBreakers has just announced that the game will be getting a Closed Beta test.

The game had several Closed Alpha tests last year and this is the first test of 2017. The developer has confirmed that this new test will include several new characters for players to test. The test will also feature some new weapons and maps. Details on the new characters are expected for release very soon and we will update you as it happens.

It was hinted that one of the new characters will be a healer. However, the exact details on this haven’t been released yet.

The new video from the developers also confirms that they will be attending PAX East this weekend. This version of the game will be the one featured in the Closed Beta test later this month.

Closed Beta

This Closed Beta is called “Closed Beta #1” which suggests the developers are planning several tests. This test will take place later this month. It starts on March 16th and will end on March 19th. While this test isn’t going to be open for long, other tests should be coming later this year.

An official blog post from the developers confirms that anyone who took part in an Alpha test will get access to the Closed Beta. Anyone who wants to apply for the test can do so on the official website here.

LawBreakers is currently set for a PC release some time this year. The developer has stated that a console version may be coming if they can find a good partner to create the console port.

A release date for LawBreakers has not been confirmed yet but we will update you on the situation as it evolves throughout the year. The game has been confirmed to no longer be free-to-play and will require a one time purchase to play.
