At least the DLC will be free…
It pains me to report this, but here goes: Gravity Rush 2 has been delayed, and it won’t be coming until 2017. Now that sounds awful, and it is, but it’s worth nothing that it’s only been delayed until January 20. Not too bad, right? And before you get too worried, there’s actually nothing wrong with the game. Development is going swimmingly, but the holiday season is getting a little too crowded according to director Keiichiro Toyama.
“We want as many people as possible playing the title at the same time,” Toyama-san said in a post on the PlayStation Blog. “After four years of development making a title we are very proud of, we want to release it at the very best time.” I understand. After all, this holiday players will be diving into Final Fantasy XV, The Last Guardian, World of Final Fantasy, and a slew of new shooters. We need to give Kat a little room to breathe, here.
It’s also worth mentioning that we’re getting free DLC out of this. “In exchange for the longer wait, we have decided to release the premium DLC planned for the title free of charge. This additional story will take place in the world of Gravity Rush 2 and we think fans will have a lot of fun playing through it.”
Careful readers will also notice in the comments section of the post that producer Nick Accordino showed up to hint at a possible demo in our near future, so stay tuned for updates!
