If you’re eager to jump in, then we have great news for you: Anyone who purchases the Fortnite Season 7 Battle Pass will be able to jump in and start playing Fortnite Creative tomorrow when Season 7 kicks off. For everyone else, Fortnite Creative will arrive on December 13. Like Battle Royale, the Creative mode will be free to play.

“It’s a brand new way to experience the world of Fortnite available December 6,” the official update boasts. “Design games, race around the island, battle your friends in new ways and build your dream Fortnite. It’s all happening on your own private island where everything you make is saved.”

All of your progress and creations will be saved from session to session, so EPIC is really encouraging players to get together with their most creative friends, and make something special. Don’t be afraid to go take your time and go all-out, because you’ll be able to take breaks and come back to your constructions to iterate and improve them.

Do keep in mind, though, that things may not work perfectly when Fortnite Creative launches. “The initial release will be rough,” the update video warns, but like every other Fortnite mode, this will be an ongoing project that sees continual updates and improvements over time.

If you’re looking to jump in tomorrow, start practicing, and build something amazing with your friends this weekend, then the folks at EPIC have some instruction and inspiration for you. Several leading influencers and prominent streamers were incited to EPIC HQ to try out Fortnite Creative for themselves. It was part workshop, and part creative laboratory, and we get to reap the benefits of all of their research. You can find links to all of the videos and footage in the official update, or you can get started with this video from Gummy.
