The latest Closed Beta test for Ubisoft’s hack-and-slash game ended yesterday. Shortly after the Closed Beta ended, Ubisoft published a new video revealing that the game would be getting an Open Beta.

The trailer reveals that the For Honor Open Beta will take place between February 9th – 12th. The test will end just two days before the game is released on February 14th.

Gamemodes

The For Honor Open beta has been confirmed to have four different gamemodes for players to test. Three of these modes were included in the Closed Beta test which ended yesterday.

Dominion: This 4v4 mode is a capture the point style mode where two teams battle to earn 1000 points before the other team. Reaching 1000 points will cause the other team to “break” which disables their respawns. The team left standing is the winner.

Brawl: Players battle in 2v2 combat without respawn

Duel: As the name suggests, players fight in a 1v1 struggle for victory without any respawns

The fourth mode is new to For Honor and is called “Elimination”. This is the second 4v4 mode in the game however, players battle in a style similar to the Brawl mode with no respawns.

Players will also be able to compete for their faction in the “War of the Factions” metagame. In this metagame, each faction is fighting to claim or defend teritory.

Heroes

Ubisoft has confirmed that nine heroes will be included in this Open Beta. The nine heroes are the ones previously showcased during the Closed Beta which took place this last weekend. Three heroes which have been confirmed for the game are not included in this Open Beta.

The Shugoki, Lawbringer and the Valkyrie will not be included in the Open Beta. These heroes will be featured in the full game when it’s released later this month however.
