D.I.C.E Summit 2019 confirmed for February 11 – February 13

The Annual D.I.C.E Summit for 2019 will commence on February 11 – February 13 at a new venue, the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. Submissions are also now open for developers to submit for the best games of 2018. On the closing evening on Wednesday, the winners will be announced at the 22nd Annual D.I.C.E. Awards. Of course, there will be an afterparty at the Jewel Nightclub. D.I.C.E Summit 2019 includes a tonne of networking opportunities including Topgolf Las Vegas, Magic: The Gathering, go-karting, yoga, poker tournaments, a full day of a single-track speaker program, the popular roundtable discussions, workshops, lunches and last but not least, happy hours.

The theme for D.I.C.E Summit 2019 is Trailblazers. Speakers of the event will share how technological advances in the industry are empowering them, their teams and the community. They will elaborate on how this can better the worlds we play in and create a better world for all.

Speaker submission proposals are open for those working in the video game industry and should address the conference theme, Trailblazers. Past speakers have included Phil Spencer, Jeff Kaplan, Hideo Kojima, Todd Howard and more.

“D.I.C.E. offers an unparalleled exchange of ideas that will help shape the future of interactive entertainment as an industry and an artform,” told Meggan Scavio, President, Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences. “We are looking forward to continuing the tradition of celebrating video games throughout the week: on-stage with our speaker content, within the more intimate setting of our roundtables and workshops, and culminating on the D.I.C.E. Awards stage.”

Last year saw Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild take out multiple awards including Game of the Year, Adventure Game of the Year, Outstanding Achievement in Game Design and Outstanding Achievement in Game Direction.

Lachlan Cosgrove

Lachlan's passion for gaming started when he played DOS games like Commander Keen and Wacky Races. His passion grew when he discovered his Aunt's Atari 2600 and was given a Game Boy for Christmas from his Pa. His favourite console has been the PlayStation 1. Right now he has become a little lazy with gaming but still enjoys the occasional FIFA session. He hopes to get back into playing games more regularly so he can switch off from the real world like he did as a Kid. He's excited about the introduction of VR and hopes for some great VR titles.
