Darksiders Warmastered Edition is still coming for the Wii U

Publisher THQ Nordic has confirmed that Darksiders Warmastered Edition will be released for the Wii U this year. The remastered game will be coming out this May for the Wii U. However, a Switch version hasn’t been confirmed yet.

While the Warstered Edition runs at 60 FPS for the PS4, Xbox One and PC it’s limited to 30FPS on the Wii U. While this is bad news, the publisher confirms that it will still run at native 1080p. The game will also feature better textures, shadow quality and post-processing effects.

The Wi U versions of the game will cost $19.99/£14.99 from retails when the game is put on sale. Darksiders Warmastered Edition will be released on May 23rd next month. THQ Nordic hasn’t commented on whether or not the game will be ported to the Nintendo Switch. Hopefully the publisher will be able to confirm this later this year which would be good news for Switch owners.
