Civilization VI is getting a major update later this Spring which will contain two new civilisations. The developer has already released plenty of detail about one of these new civilisations. Persia is the upcoming new addition to the game.
Persia will be led by Cyrus II who has the ability to provide bonus movement for all units and reduced diplomatic penalties when declaring a surprise war. The new civilisation certainly seems to be quite aggressive. In addition to this, the country also gets a unique tile improvement called a “Pairidaeza”. This provides a culture, gold and appeal bonus for adjacent districts or city centers.
While Firaxis has confirmed that another faction will be coming, the developer hasn’t confirmed who this will be.
Alongside the Persia announcement, the developer has also revealed that a new DLC pack is coming. A new Scenario Pack will also be coming to the game but no details are available yet. The new update will be coming with bug fixes, balancing changes and modifications to the multiplayer.
We will provide you with updates as the situation unfolds later this Spring.
