Wargroove is coming to Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC on Friday, February 1. The good news came to us this morning during a special Nintendo indies showcase event. Wargroove is a retro-styled, turn-based strategy game in the vein of Advance Wars, and it’s something that the entire industry has been looking forward to for months.
Along with this morning’s release date announcement came a brand new animated trailer for Wargroove, which you can check out below:
Wargroove seemingly has it all. It has an original story campaign, arcade, and puzzle mode for single-player enthusiasts. There are tons of secrets and unlockables to discover. Local and online multiplayer can be played competitively or cooperatively. Players can create their own stories and scenarios with a map editor. Multiplayer is cross-platform, as is the sharing of your map editor creations. Chucklefish went all out to provide players with a fully-featured game at launch, and we can’t wait to get our hands on it.
If you’re a PlayStation 4 player, don’t worry, Wargroove is coming to PS4 as well; we just don’t know when. Chucklefish said that it would hit the PS4 “soon,” so expect a release date update in the very near future. Stay tuned!
