THQ Nordic has announced their Gamescom 2017 line-up in an official blog post from the company. However, it also includes several new surprises for us all to look forward to.

This year the company has revealed that they have eight different games to show during the event. This includes two brand new titles which have not yet been announced.

The first game is ELEX, an open world RPG which is due for release on October 17th. The game will be releasing for PS4, Xbox One and PC. The second confirmed RPG is Battle Chasers: Nightwar which will be releasing on October 3rd. Players and journalists will be able to get their hands on a Nintendo Switch version of Battle Chasers: Nightwar during Gamescom.

SpellForce 3 has been in multiplayer Beta for some time now but at Gamescom the focus will be on the single player campaign. According to the blog post, this campaign is “deep”. No other details have been revealed so far.

In addition to this, we’ll be treated to our first look at the campaign for Aquanox: Deep Descent and The Guild 3 will be getting a surprise announcement. As expected, Wreckfest will also be featured during the event.

The final two games are brand new. The first game is a new original IP which is an RPG. The game is set in a “unique universe and will be a post-apocalyptic kung-fu fable”. Details on the other game is even more limited. THQ Nordic confirms that this game is a new installment of a “well-known, mysterious and horrific IP”.  The company has not provided any hints about what this new game could be but players are already speculating possible games.

All of the games on this list will be playable during the event so it looks like Darksiders III won’t be at the event.

What do you think the new sequel could be?
