The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered has launched on Nintendo Switch 2 in Australia. The standard edition includes the base game, Shivering Isles, Knights of the Nine and additional content released for the original game.
The Deluxe Edition adds quests for Akatosh- and Mehrunes Dagon-themed equipment. Nintendo also confirms motion-control support, while European storefront information lists a 57.7 GB download.
Performance remains a testing question
Bethesda and Nintendo did not confirm the previously reported 1080p/60 handheld target, 4K/30 docked mode or 1440p/60 performance mode. Claims about locked performance, touchscreen inventory controls and cartridge contents have therefore been removed.
That leaves an important technical question for buyers: how the Unreal Engine 5 remaster scales its dense foliage, lighting and streaming work to portable hardware. Resolution and frame-rate targets should be judged from measured capture, not inferred from other platforms.
The strongest reason to consider this version is portability combined with the complete expansion package. The weakest point is the lack of verified performance detail at launch.
