cseries-front

The C Series from Syber Gaming is a solution for gamers wanting a small scale VR and 4K ready PC.

Syber Gaming, a division of CyberPowerPC, have announced the release of its C Series. A gaming rig that’s VR and 4K ready, and also really small.

The C Series comes in four different model; the Core, Pro, Elite, and Extreme. The core starts at $599 and the Extreme at $1589. Each model is fully customisable. Current Windows 10 and Steam-based games will work smoothly on each. Syber Gaming have ensured that the C series will be a leap from current gaming consoles.

The Core base model comes with the custom designed Syber C mini-itx chassis, Athlon X4 840 Quad-Core Processor, RX 460 2GB graphics card and 8Gbs of DDR3 memory. You will have a 1TB SATA III hard drive for storage and Windows 10 64-bit comes pre-installed.

There is quite a comparison between the Core and Xtreme models in terms of specs as well as the price. The Xtreme looks the same on the outside, but inside there’s a huge difference. It features the GTX 1080 8GB, an Intel Core i7-6800k CPU, 16GB of DDR4 memory, a 256GB SSD and a 1TB hard drive for secondary storage. The GTX 1080 will run at 90 frames per second which is the standard for VR.

Each model of the C Series can be used with the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. Syber Gaming ensures that they will all run at high settings and be future proof. There are also a ton of upgrades to choose from as well as downgrades if you need to budget a little. Currently there are some free upgrade on offer too. I did a test run and scored an upgrade on the CPU and memory.

More info on the C series can be found on their website.

Lachlan Cosgrove

Lachlan's passion for gaming started when he played DOS games like Commander Keen and Wacky Races. His passion grew when he discovered his Aunt's Atari 2600 and was given a Game Boy for Christmas from his Pa. His favourite console has been the PlayStation 1. Right now he has become a little lazy with gaming but still enjoys the occasional FIFA session. He hopes to get back into playing games more regularly so he can switch off from the real world like he did as a Kid. He's excited about the introduction of VR and hopes for some great VR titles.
