Fans saw enormous promise early on, which is evident from the Kickstarter campaign that attracted over 80,000 backers.
Typically it’s Playtonic coming to us with an exciting update or new trailer that blows our minds. Today, it’s Yacht Club Games with an exciting Yooka-Laylee update. That’s right – you know what’s coming. “We’re super excited to announce the blue fellow with horns will be teaming up with the green bloke with no pants! That’s right- Shovel Knight will be digging in to the highly anticipated 3D platforming collect-em-up, Yooka-Laylee!” You can catch our chivalrous shoveler toward the tail-end of this new character trailer below:

They even hinted that we might see Shovel Knight in 3D again some day. “Who knows… maybe one day we’ll see Shovel Knight running and jumping around his very own 64-styled adventure! Wouldn’t that be neat?”
